a quilt for the
Modern Quilt Guild/
Michael Miller Challenge
Started: May 2014
Completed: July 2014
Size: 87″ x 87″
After receiving the set of fat eighths I was given by Michael Miller Fabric, I was inspired to create this quilt. Lots of sketching before digging in! It was the first time I worked with curves. It was also the first time I quilted with my new Juki—she was worked like a dream! Still feel loyal to “Kenny” (a Kenmore, the first sewing machine that I purchased 15 years ago and the machine I used to teach myself how to quilt). Kenny will be used ocassionally, but I’m in love with Juki.
Pattern fabric: Michael Miller Pinwheels Collection
Solid fabric: Kona White, Kona Peapod, Kona Lemon, Kona Sunny and Kona Pool
Update August 1st: WOW! I WAS ONE OF THREE WINNERS (out of over 750 entries!).

I fell in love with Petal Pinwheels by Michael Miller the first time I saw the collection. Then I saw the quilt you made from the challenge. Truly Amazing! Love it, too! Do you have a pattern available that I can purchase?
Thanks for your inspiration! Jaci
Hi Jaci,
Thanks for your kind words. The details are being worked out now, but the pattern will most likely be published in a major quilting publication early next year. Stay tuned!
Best, Sheri
Gorgeous! I, too, am waiting in anticipation of a pattern.
Congrats on your win!
